Wells’Built Museum of African American History
Dr. William M. Wells created a casino and hotel to host touring black bands and artists during the time when Orlando was segregated. The building was restored and converted into a museum that exhibits memorabilia of Orlando’s African-American community and African art from local collectors. It has become one of the most notable monuments to the history of Orlando.
